friday fic recs

The cure for NaNoWriMo word count blues, cold weather colds, and the world going dark before the end of the working day: amusing fanfiction.  In fact, the ultimate cure for me is Lelia Burke's X Men serise The Early Years.  Only a basic understanding of the X Men is needed, which is great because personally I've only watched the movies, and whilst the stories move towards Scott/Jean the emphasis is on the pranks and trouble that Hank, Warren, Scott, Bobby and Jean get into as Xavier's students.  There is plot, humour, sarcasm, hilarity and just that nice touch of romance.  Rated at about PG13, there are ten stories, all longer than someone writing NaNoWriMo should probably be reading, but if you really feel you don't have time bookmark them and go back later. :o)

Sorry it took me so long to reply. :o(

Um, well, the plan was that you read it over the weekend *grins* but good fanfic is always better than working anyway.

PS Happy Belated Birthday! (Because I fail at wishing you Happy Birthday on time as well as replying to your comment *head desk*) Hope you had a great time!
