I currently have 106 works archived at AO3. Pick a number from 1 (the most recent) to 106 (the first thing I posted there), and I'll tell you three things I currently like or three random tidbits about it. Or something.
I make no promises as to being able to count correctly or the quality of anything written earlier than in the last two or three years ;)

I've seen this meme going around: When you see this, share 3 random lines from 3 WIPs.
And I laughed, because WIPs? Oh yeah, I have those. I have those coming out of my ears *grins*. So here's three snippets for your perusal.
ONE
He’s shorter than Cap, and she thinks he’d be shorter still but he has big black boots on, with metal toecaps and buckles. Kate really likes those boots. If you kicked someone with those boots on it’d really hurt and if anyone stood on you it wouldn’t hurt at all. And they look cool.
TWO
Natasha watches him blinking into awareness and taking stock of the room before asking, “How are you feeling?” She says it in a way that makes it sound like she doesn’t care about the answer. Not because she doesn’t care, although she probably doesn’t, but because she already knows the answer and is asking to be polite, as if someone has told her that that’s what she’s supposed to do in this kind of situation.
THREE
“Wait, wait, wait, no,” says Tony. “Steve. No. Think about this. Think about the bobblehead dolls! This is the bobblehead dolls all over again, Steve. Helping people is a bad thing. We’ve established this. Steve!”
“He did get shot,” Bruce offers up.

From the World Book Day website Young people and adults nominated the books that have rocked their worlds, to help us create the ultimate list of 50 BOOKS that will change YOUR life and keep you reading and these were the results. Bold the ones you've read, italic the ones you want to read; it's a World Book Day Meme :)

So this is all over my f-list and it was fun to do, like going backwards in a fic time machine - 'oh, so that's why I started writing Avengers fic' and 'there was my fling with Sherlock' *grins*. The last twenty-one first lines I wrote in fanfic. I'd love to be asked about them, or have people point out any trend that they can spot.

From, wow, all over my f-list over the weekend:
Tell me about stories you think I should write. I mean, if you could sit me down for a day or whatever and say, "K, I want you to write this story for me," what would that story be?
I'm not actually promising to *write* any of these, mind you, but it's fun anyway. And who knows if I'll be inspired!
Let's say any fandom, even if you think I'm not familiar with it. I make no promises of fic, especially if I don't know the fandom, but I'm curious about what ideas and fandoms you think would be good for me to play with. Maybe they'll be fic, maybe I'll be intrigued by a new fandom, who knows? And yes, this is an opportunity to turn that shamless enabler thing back on me *grins*.

( my ten questions and answers behind the cut )
Okay, ten questions from me (and yeah, I stole the book one, but books):
1. What's one thing that you're looking forward to this year, and why?
2. An interesting thing that you learnt/found out recently?
3. What're your comfort clothes?
4. What would be your dream holiday?
5. The trigger for you joining your first/your (current) main fandom?
6. What was the last book you read? Liked it? Not? Why?
7. Your trapped in a lift (elevator) survival kit would contain...?
8. The first site you go to when you get on the internet?
9. If I give you the prompt 'red', what three sentence fic do you come up with?
10. Zombies or vampires?
And anyone can feel free to join in/do this, but I'll tag

I’m on skip=200 of my f-list and the dates showing up are still only for October 28th, argh. I’ve done some commenting and bookmarked a pile of fics to read, but I’m just not going to make it through the entire week’s worth of f-list that I missed. Moving onto emails, messages, and things requiring longer comment replies next, then the fic.
I'm doing the trick or treat meme over here which at the moment consists of me reccing bundles of things.
And From all over my flist:
I'm sure I have a reputation somewhere in this fandom: So what is it?
If I have a reputation in a fandom or online, what is it?

Once again I'm up later than I ought to be, but hey! That means it's October 31st here now. Happy Halloween! F-list, remind me to tell you about the year a pumpkin nearly set our front room on fire and it was absolutely not my fault, but for now I'm stealing a meme from
anuna_81:
In honor of All Hallow's Eve, I'm inviting trick-or-treaters to my 'door.' Comment "trick-or-treat" to this post and...well, you know the drill. Treats can be anything that strikes my fancy (pics of fave actors or pairings, one sentence fics, graphics, a few words why I'm glad tohave you on my flist, etc. etc.). The more "houses" to visit the more fun it'll be, so go ahead, open your journal and help spread the fun!
*If you leave me a list of fandoms you're into (or two or three fandoms, at least), that would be very helpful! Thanks!

I love icon memes! Let's have an icon meme!
1. Reply to this post with LEMON CREAM, and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
This will create a never ending circle of icon glee!
( the five icons of mine that daxcat79 asked me about are behind the cut )

I haven't done a meme in a while and I need some writing to recovering from all that vid watching *grins* so: I have a list of 15 characters from fandoms I'm familiar with. Put forward some scenarios/situations for me like 7 and 10 come up with a plan to conquer the world, what happens? or 15 dares 5 to ask 1 out on a date and I'll see what I can come with.

The meme using this site. It statistically anaylzes word choice and writing style then tells you which famous writer you write like.
For Live In Hope, Journey To Still Water, Acceptable, Moments; Singular, and A Time For Tea I got:
So that was pretty consistent. I've never read anything by him though. For people who have, does this sound right? And if I were going to read one of his books which one should I go for?
The Trojan Duck stories, which are All Perfectly Normal, Five Minutes, and The Games Children Play, were all:
And then much to my amusement when I threw Harry Potter stories at it, namely From The Time Of Heroes, The Tealeaves Say It's Time To Stop Making Do, After The Rain, Advisory, and End of the World, I got:
That'll be going by word choice then, ha.

Working on some fic and icons. In the mean time: meme!
I've only really started being online again with any regularity this past month or so - a plus side to being back at university is definitely the internet connection - and it'd be nice to get chatting with people on lj again :)
Meme:
1. Post a general question in a comment to this entry. (Anything, from 'What's your favorite color?' or 'What color are your shoes?' to fandom questions or otherwise)
2. In order to be able to post a question, however you MUST answer at least one of the other questions already posted. (If you don't, the trained ninjas will have to open a can of kickarse.)
3. Ask and answer all the questions you want! Don't limit yourself to one. (The more the better!)
(4. Pimp-able meme.)
PS I don't have chatty, talkative, or friendly in my mood theme. Meh. Oh well, I'll go with flirty then!

Meme seen around, but stolen from
inksplotched: post the first line from your fifteen most recent fics and look for a trend.
It seems I am terribly predictable when it comes to first lines. They tend to be descriptive, contain at least one name and rarely, if at all, contain dialogue. I was sure that I used dialogue as an opening line more often, but apparently not. The length, at least, doesn't seem to be predictable, but the rest does.
So I was wondering, is predictability a bad thing when it comes to first lines? And can anyone see anymore trends that I'm missing?

Put the books in order from favorite to least favorite:
1. Order of the
2. Deathly Hallows
3. Half-Blood Prince
4. Goblet of Fire
5. Chamber of Secrets
6. Prisoner of Azkaban
7. Philosopher's Stone
How many times have you read the series: The whole series all the way through in order including Deathly Hallows? Twice. I tend not to read the first four books anymore unless I'm looking for specific half-remembered details I want for fic writing.

I have three exams over two days in two days. I can remember random snippets of information about lots of things, but not enough specific information about one thing, so the prospect of spending two days writing a bunch of essays that ought to be at least five pages long is daunting, to say the least. My back-up plan, if I find my brain has completely leaked out of my ears, is to write a story instead of an essay, which will gain me no marks whatsoever but will at least fill a minimum of five pages coherently. (Imagine my Geographies of Health and Health Care exam essay could be 'the end of the world cometh with a plague').
So, to avert brain-freeze, here's some meme-age (and tagging whoever fancies having a go):
1) What is your Favourites made up of?
2) Choose five links to stories/fics from your Favourites.
3) Explain why you have each link saved. (Because it's your favourite story, or you're waiting until you can think coherently to review it, or because you haven't read it yet and want to, or...?)
