there MUST be fanfic of this; tell me there is fanfic of this!
Last summer myself and a bunch of friends passed around some DVDs and books, because there are some fannish things where we have an overwhelming urge to share. (We're all still working our way through stuff. Shhh, we're slow.) For my part, I'm making sure they're familiar with Firefly, Dollhouse, and Neil Gaiman amongst other wonderful. Anyway, one of my friends lent me the full seven seasons of Buffy. I've never seen them all, and not in order. (My mum thought a series about horrible things like vampires and demons would scare me to death as a kid. She was probably right. But I still told her, "But Mum it's really about feminism!")

So last night I couldn't sleep and decided to make inroads. I have now finally finished Season One and started Season Two! (Shhh, slow remember? And in my defence this was far from the only thing I was leant.)

The point of this post: the ending of Out Of Mind, Out Of Sight leapt onto my list of reasons why I love Joss Whedon. A teenage girl turned invisible because that's what people perceived her as gets to join a super secret high school/training facility for invisible kids to become spies and assassins?! Made of win, Whedon, made of win. And since this was aired ages and ages ago SOMEONE TELL ME THERE IS FANFICTION OF THIS.

It brings to mind a whole scenerio where someone says "we have to train up this next group of super heroes right" with a fist slamming on a table after Tony royally screws up. It seems like something Kate would be involved in.

I love Kate :D And that idea is fun! You should write that idea *evil enabling grin*

But my brain mashed it with the whole Clint High School foster genre and...what if being fostered didn't make Clint all scruffy clothed and bullied, but made him not stick out at all? And he enabled that, because he wants to fit in. And that makes him invisible. And things happen and he ends up at the school for invisible people, which is probably SHIELD run in my head, and there he meets Natasha.

(Although my first thought was straight-up, Macey's story. But I cross and fuse everything with Clint/Natasha in my head these days lol.)

That is an awesome idea (re: fostering)! I think that would have totally made a difference! It would change the dynamics of him.

I think I will run with my idea. You run with yours (I have my enabling grin out, as well) and we'll meet in the middle.

Still contemplating the Commas By Debate AU and trying to figure out a purpose for it. It has nothing to do with these ideas but I thought if it as thinking of these.

The idea is in the ideas notebook! Don't know if it'll beat fruit though. I'm not gonna say I'll match you fic for fic because then I'll feel like my cheering you on is contingent on me having written and that I'm letting you down if I don't write and...yeah :( But I will consider myself enabled and if thinky thoughts happen I will deliver them unto you!

The idea of commas by debate still amuses me :)

Oh, yes yes! I don't want you to feel beholden AT ALL. No icky feelings where writing is concerned! I'm dealing with enough of that from other venues as it is. Go and create as the muses see fit!

I think Commas by Debate may be my excuse to write smaller interconnected stories. I always like having that sort of idea running around so that I can write it for challenges and stuff and it's not a huge long story but a bunch of connected stories that can be read separately or together.

The one picture I have of them in my head is at practice and Tony is bossing them all around about something. Clint and Natasha are rolling their eyes at each other. Steve is over in the corner, lost in some music or lyrics or something. They're all just very cosy with each other, even if they want to hang Tony from the clocktower in the middle of the commons.
