Well, last time I made sarahetc upset, and I didn't want to do that on her birthday, so happy fic ahoy!

I'm open to all theories about Zoe's necklace, but since here I was writing about marital traditions I wanted it to tie in with that. We're left to infer so much from the show that it could be anything, although I don't think I can believe that Zoe The Warrior Woman would wear jewelry, that could possibly be used against her in a fight, unless it had some great meaning for her. But hey, maybe one of her favourite siblings gave it to her when she was a kid before he left to fight in the war and then he died and she wears in in his memory, of what war means. Or maybe when she was little and living onboard a spaceship some passing traveller gave it to her, told her it was good luck, and she believed him, and to this day can't quite shake that belief, or doesn't want to. Or.... *grins*
