This is what I was thinking as well- i don't want an obvious dismissal. But I think it can be done well. I think a blanket "no females should die ever!" (NOT that anyone was saying this) isn't "realistic" for these movies. So if it does happen, I hope its not terrible (except in the heartache sense).
