Yeah, I wouldn't want Laura just handwaved. If we got to know her and then much, much later she was to die so it wasn't fridging and it would hurt more than that might work, but I wouldn't want the next time we see here to be something like 'oh, and here's the smoking farm where Laura used to live; oops, civil war happened!' Meh,

Hell yes! All of this :D It's like we have this whole new character again with very little backstory, and our corner of fandom, oh yes, we can work with little backstory. Bring it on!
